Quick Home Decor with MDS

Happy Thursday!  It's MDS Hop time where we show you what we've been up to!  I have been a busy little bee getting our house ready to put on the market.  When you've been in your home for twelve years, that is no easy task!!  The de-cluttering took awhile but wow, does it feel good to purge!  I think I've kept Goodwill busy these last couple of weeks!  One thing our realtor recommended that we do is not have too many personal photos around.  Well, I have a wall of photo shelves in my house so I needed to come up with an economical way to change that.

I created two 5x7 projects in MDS.  For the first one, I went to one of my Pinterest boards for inspiration.  I found a cute saying that I loved and recreated it in MDS.  Here's how it turned out:

I love this and it was so quick and easy!  I changed the font colors, used my align tool, and printed on Very Vanilla Cardstock! :)

My next framed image was even easier:

Yep… one monogram letter (Monogram KK Font) printed on Crumb Cake Cardstock.  Looks great in the black frame, huh?!

Here's my finished wall:

The small frame is filled with retired DSP!  And everything else on the shelves I moved from another room in my house!

I'm anxious to see what the other designers have been doing with MDS.  To follow along on our Blog Hop, click the button below to go to Beth's blog!

Jamaica - No Problem

Hi there!

I created a layout weeks ago for the current challenge over at Stampin' Celebration. Then, the end-of-the-school-year craziness happened, we went out of town, and I never got my layout posted!  So, I'm adding it here even though it's late!  The fun inspiration challenge photos instantly made me think of our fun day in Jamaica!  I have lots of photos to scrap from that day so I will probably add a second page to go along with this one:

And here are the Stampin' Celebration inspiration photos:

When I saw the signs I wanted to create a project in MDS so I could use the cute sign stamp from the Boardwalk Stamp Brush Set.  :)

Products Used:
Boardwalk, Timeless Type Junior Alphabet, Small Polka Dot DSP

There will be a new sketch challenge posted on the 15th so make sure and check the Stampin' Celebration Blog!

Have you checked out the new Annual Catalog?  There are so many fun, new items!!

You can click HERE to view the Catalog PDF (also on my blog's sidebar) or contact me to receive your copy in the mail.  :)

Thanks for visiting!!

Hi there!!  Today's MDS Blog Hop is all about Father's Day!  We've been out of town for almost 2 weeks so I'm totally cheating on today's hop - sorry!!  I hate to post a card of mine that you might have seen on the MDS.net site but…. I'm still playing catch up from being out of town and don't have an ounce of creative juices flowing through my veins right now!! Sorry… but here it is:

I actually really love this Father's Day card and will be giving it to a special someone this weekend. :)  I haven't done a whole lot of hybrid stuff but this came together really easily.  I have always loved the Designer Series paper in the World Traveler Photobook Template.  I thought the grungy, masculine look of this paper would be perfect for a Father's Day card.  I used MDS to create all of the different elements of my card.  I filled punches with DSP and created my sentiment (All Holidays Stamp Brush Set) with some added stitching.  I printed and cut out each piece for the card -- I used my Framelits dies to cut out the hearts.  Then, I added a layer, some Linen Thread, some Stampin' Dimensionals and a brad.  This was so fun to put together!!

I'm anxious to see what the other designers have created this time around!  If you're following along with us, next up on our hop is Beth Rush.  She always has some super creative projects!  Click on the button below to hop on over to her blog! :)

Thanks for hopping along with us - we love your comments and hope we provide you with some MDS inspiration!

Have a terrific Thursday!!
