Happy Friday! I'm a little late getting this posted! We are on Spring Break this week and I haven't had much time on my computer or in my studio! I did manage to get my project done for this week's challenge over at Stampin' Celebration. After my four hour drive back from North Carolina, the creative juices weren't really flowing.... but here's what I came up with:
And here is this week's Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge photo:
I realized after this challenge, that I don't have any cute little animal sets - I guess I'll need to work on that!! :) I decide to pull from the middle photo with the lollipops for my inspiration. To make my lollipop, I used our Stitched-Poly Ribbon in Pear Pizzazz. I twisted the ribbon and adhered it to a circle punched out of cardstock. It was pretty easy and I love how the white ends of the ribbon show through!
Products Used:
Stamps: Create a Cupcake
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Bashful Blue, Brights Patterns DSP
Ribbon: Pear Pizzazz Stitched-Poly, Pumpkin Pie Taffeta
Other: Big Shot Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Top Note Die
Make sure and stop by Stampin' Celebration and check out the other amazing projects from the Design Team. Link your creation by Wednesday and you could be our next Guest Designer!!
On a personal note... here are a couple of pictures from our Spring Break week. I took the boys to the Great Wolf Lodge in North Carolina. It was our first trip there and they had a blast. I met two of my friends there with their kids. It was the perfect mini-vacation!
Have a great weekend!!

Here's to a Happy Scrappy New Year!
Happy 1-1-11!!! (My kids think that it so cool!) ;) I hope you all had a safe and Happy New Year's! Ours was very low-key. We took the boys to the movies, came home and cheered (unsuccessfully) for our DAWGS in the Liberty Bowl, made chocolate chip cookies, and rung in the New Year together.
Me and the boys enjoying our sparkling cider
Next year, I MUST make Pepper a party hat.... lol!
How did you celebrate New Year's? Do you make resolutions each year? Please leave a comment at the end of this (very long) post. I'd love to hear from you! I have a few resolutions regarding family, my spiritual life, my business, and my health. A new year always feels like a clean slate and a good time to focus on my goals.

Save the Hooters!
Wow, what a journey! Last weekend, I walked in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for a Cure in Atlanta. It was such an amazing experience! I laughed, cried, spent time with good friends, made some new ones, prayed for those I was walking for, counted my blessings, and got a couple of blisters.... and it was worth every step! I spent the weekend engulfed in pink - which inspired a few of these creations....
Isn't this cute? This is a little photo album I made for my teammates. I took one of those inexpensive photo albums from Wal Mart, and added the cover, pierced holes in the spine with my crop-a-dile, and threaded the ribbon through it. Super easy, but a fun keepsake to carry around!
Supplies Used:
120175 Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder
119275 Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch
120651 Word Play Stamp Set (I LOVE this set!)
120142 Occasional Quotes Stamp Set (Hostess Stamp Set)
118874 Extra Large Scallop Circle Punch
101179 Basic Black Classic Stampin' Ink Pad
I was able to raise over $2400 for the 3-Day to help with breast cancer awareness and research. I could not have done it without the help of so many generous people. I'll be making over 50 (well-deserved) thank you notes!! Here are a couple of them:
I just love the Owl Punch! It punches all of the pieces I need to make this adorable little owl. I printed out the phrase "Save the Hooters" on my computer before punching it out for my card. Too cute!
Supplies Used:
118074 Two-Step Owl Punch
119275 Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch
119849 Modern Label Punch
117155 Designer Series Patterns Paper Stack in Brights
Supplies Used:
119849 Modern Label Punch
117335 Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folders
115060 Short & Sweet Stamp Set (super fun set for various greetings)
And finally, I wanted to post a few pictures from last weekend!

Fall Frenzy
Whoa, I feel like this last week has been a whirlwind! I've been running around like a crazy woman between the boys' sports, getting my Stampin' Up venture off the ground, training for the 3-Day walk, and squeezing in a little housework here and there!
My Grams had to fly back to WA last week, which always makes me so sad. She had a long visit here which was wonderful. I have to post one more picture of her - even though she can figure out why in the world I would do that - lol!
I just love this picture of Grams and Carter. Gigi (as the boys call her) is known for making rice krispie treats and brownies when she comes to visit. Here's Grams getting Carter some brownies - and the sweet little look on Carter's face, is soooo Carter. :) I need to print these pictures from her visit ASAP so I can scrap them! Such special memories!
I've also been consumed with the boys' sports. Evan is playing football again which means practice 3 nights a week and games on Saturdays. He loves it though and his team is doing really well. My mother-in-law came to watch him play Saturday and I snapped this cute picture of them after the game!
I'm very excited about the positive response I've received about my new SU venture! Check out the links to my upcoming events. If you live in the area, I'd love to have you come create with me! I also have the online ordering set up - so you can shop 24/7 with me! Woo hoo!
I haven't had a whole lot of time to create this week - but did get to spend Saturday with some friends at a Stampin' Up! event hosted by my upline Mandy, called Gifts Galore. We made some fabulous items that I can't wait to share with you! In the meantime, I'm anxiously awaiting my big SU order!!! :)

Birthday Celebration!
I feel like I've been celebrating my 40th birthday for over a week now! This was a big year so my Grandma flew in town from Washington to celebrate our shared birthdays. I turned 40 and my Grandma turned 90! In a previous post, I showed the birthday card I made for her. Well, here she is enjoying it!! :)
Three generations together - I just love it! :)
I'll leave with a little creation I made for our entry table. I found this little shadowbox frame at Michael's and "scrapped" a little page to go in it. I thought it would be fun to change it out with the seasons. My hubby and I just celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary so that's what sparked this page.
I already have my "Boo" page ready to go in there next month! I'll post that later!
Well, that's it for now! Happy Creating!
Isn't she the cutest? We've spent a lot of time together and it means so much to me that my boys know and love their great grandma! Here are a few more pictures from our visit:

A Little Family Stuff & the Let's Scrap Weekly Sketch
Wow, things have been so busy I've gotten behind on my posting! I hope everyone is having a wonderful Mother's Day! My boys (hubby included) told me I could scrapbook all day and they'd take care of the house and cleaning. How great is that?! I haven't done any scrapping yet but hope to very soon!
Yesterday was a busy day. My son had his 1st Communion. I am so proud of my sweet boy and he looked so handsome. It seems like just yesterday he was getting baptized. Time really goes by so quickly and they grow up so fast. I realized this yesterday as my son was up on the alter at church. I was completely overwhelmed by my love for my boys and how very blessed I am to have them. Here's my sweet little Carter Boo in his suit. Is he handsome, or what?!
We had our family come back to my house after church to celebrate his 1st Communion and Mother's Day. Things didn't go as smoothly as I had planned when Carter fell on the front porch steps and cut his knee. So.... he had his 1st Communion and his 1st stitches all in one day. Sounds like a scrapbook title doesn't it..... hee hee. He was a trouper though and we still celebrated - it was just after our trip to urgent care!
I've been busy scrapping between the Let's Scrap Blog Hop going on and the new sketches and challenges. Be sure to come check it all out and join in on the fun!!
Here's the layout I did for Cheri's sketch from last week. This is actually the sketch we used to submit for the Let's Scrap Design Team Call. This is a photo of my boys with my mom. I just loved being able to use some soft colors on this layout.

This was such a fun layout to make! I just love these pictures of Carter in his element - baseball!!
We had a wonderful vacation out to the beautiful Pacific Northwest! We hiked waterfalls, visited family, played in Portland and Seattle, and went snow skiing. This was the boys' first plane ride (I won't mention the three-hour flight delay or the 48 hours of lost luggage) and their first ski trip. It was fabulous!!! Here is a picture of me, Carter and Evan before we went down our first "big" run!!
I have over 200 pictures from our trip on my camera!! I hope to be able to print them and scrap them soon!!! I'm having scrapbook withdrawals!! Thank goodness the weekend is almost here!!
Happy Scrapping!!

Sketch Inspiration
Happy Monday everyone! I was able to get a little bit of scrapping done last weekend! I used a sketch from Sketch Inspiration to FINALLY scrap this picture of my hubby and my son Carter, from his first t-ball team. I think this photo is priceless and one they will both treasure for a very long time! Carter has been obsessed with baseball for as long as I can remember - and he's still going strong! I had a hard time finding my scrapping mojo at first, but finally got it done. Do you ever feel patterned-paper challenged? I'm still not sure that I love this layout, but will love that photo forever... and that's what really matters, right!?

Happy Birthday Mom!
Sunday, was my Mom's birthday. We all went out to dinner to celebrate. Here is a picture of the two of us. (Compliments of my budding photographer --- I had to crop out the glasses, chips & salsa, etc., etc.!) Hope everyone has a wonderful week! Happy Scrapping!
