Baby Face

Here is another 2-page layout I did based on a sketch over at Let's Scrap.  It took me awhile to decide if I had enough small photos to work with this sketch.  Then, I had that "ah-ha" moment and pulled out Carter's baby pictures that have been sitting around for years.  This sketch was just perfect for them!  I'm hoping to use this sketch again for some photos of our trip to Hilton Head last summer!  Here's my take on this sketch and Carter's sweet little baby face.....

Supplies Used:
Cardstock, Patterned Paper & Chipboard:  TLC/Breezy Designs
Ink & Silver Charm:  CTMH
Die Cut Letters:  Cricut-Lyrical Letters Cartridge
Floss:  DMC
Other:  Ribbon, buttons

I have had this baby kit for such a long time so it was good to use some of my stash!  Looking back at the left hand side, I wish I had black & white or sepia toned photos - but..... it will have to do!  I'm just excited to get some more of his baby pictures scrapped!!

Looking forward to playing in my Scrap Room more this weekend!
Happy Scrapping!

Good Times

I've been wanting to scrap these photos for a while now from our beach trip!  The boys decided to dig a huge hole in the sand and then try to jump over it!  Love these action shots!  I searched through the Let's Scrap sketches and found one that was just perfect!  I still might go back and add journaling at the bottom - not sure yet - but here it is for now!

Supplies Used:
Patterned Paper:  K & Company (polka dot); Dream Street Papers (striped & blue pattern)
Cardstock:  DCWV (brown)
Ribbon:  TLC
Chipboard:  Bo Bunny
Title:  Cricut-Lyrical Letters
Bead Border:  Quickutz Die/Big Shot
Brads/Anchors:  CTMH

Thanks for visiting!  Hoping to get some more layouts done this week.  Too bad this job-thing cuts into my scrapping time!  hee hee.

Happy Scrapping!

Spring Break Scrapping

Spring Break is here and I wish I could slow this week down!  I love having the week off and being home with my boys.  (Even though I'm slowly accepting the fact that they'd rather be with their friends than their mom....)  It is so nice not to wake up to an alarm clock, to hear the birds chirping every morning, to feel the sunshine on my skin, and hear the laughter of my boys!  I am so ready to be a stay-at-home mom again!!

I've done a lot of spring cleaning the last two days and it is so nice to have a clean home!  I always feel happier when my house is clean and de-cluttered.  I did squeeze in some scrapping time yesterday and plan on doing much more of that as the week goes on!

Here's a 2-page layout I did based on another sketch over at Let's Scrap.  I loved using this sketch for so many reasons - it was quick to complete, I only used about 4 sheets of paper (with some striped paper and cardstock leftover for cards), and I was able to get a lot of photos on my page.  I also tried a new (to me) technique where I brushed white paint around the edges of some of the photos and cardstock.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  DCWV, Breezy Designs
Patterned Paper:  TLC
Title & Embellishments:  K & Company
Brads:  The Paper Studio
Paint:  Delta
Ribbon:  Michael's and Breezy Designs

Finally, here's a picture of my sweet Marley Mae.  (Why do I always give my dogs middle names?!)  It's been so nice and sunny this week they're spending lots of time outside!

Happy Scrapping!

New Ride

Wow!  Where in the world has March gone?!  This month has flown by and sadly, I didn't get as much scrapping time as I would have liked!  I did want to share a double-page layout I did based on a sketch over at Let's Scrap.  I am still loving this website and Cheri's sketches.  Soooo fun and so inspiring!

This is a layout from my son's 9th birthday.  We had our family birthday celebration and Evan couldn't wait to show Mimi his new bike!  I just love these pictures!  I am so blessed to have my family nearby so we can get together like this.  I love that my boys are so close with their grandparents!  It's a wonderful thing!  :)

 Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  The Paper Studio and CTMH
Ink:  ColorBox
Rub-ons:  My Mind's Eye & TLC
Large Scallop Circle Punch:  Fiskars
Small Scallop Circle Punch:  EK Success
Circle Punch:  CM
Die Cuts:  Cricut/Celebrations Cartridge/Going Places Cartridge
Title:  Sizzix/Lollipop
Brads:  CTMH
Other:  Ric Rac, Floss

Also, I just have to share that I won the drawing for the layout that I last posted!  I was so excited!  I received a fun package in the mail of scrapbook goodies from my scrapper friend Kristie!  Check out her awesome blog here!

Well, time to go round up the boys and get ready for dinner.  I wish I enjoyed cooking as much as I do scrapbooking.......

Happy Scrapping!
