Melon Mambo Madness

Ok, so I might have gone a little overboard with the Melon Mambo......  But, it was my friend's birthday and I know she loves pink!

This is what I came up with from this week's Inspiration Challenge over at Stampin' Celebration.  First, I finally got some more time to play with the new Petal Cone Die (item #121810) for the Big Shot.  Soooo much fun!  I filled it with candy and cute shredded pink paper.

I stamped the cardstock with my Circle Circus Stamp Set - such a fun, versatile set!  Next, I wanted to make a matching birthday card.

Like I said, a little overkill on the melon mambo.... and kinda crazy on the circles....  I just couldn't stop!  lol.  But, it's festive and fun - and hopefully she'll like it!  :)

Want to know where my inspiration came from?  Here is this week's photo from Stampin' Celebration:

Bookmark Bliss

I love making these little bookmarks!  They are so quick and fun to make.   This was one of our projects at a recent private workshop.  The hostess had quite a few 8th grade girls there so I tried to make it girly!  We used the Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set Bliss.  (My favorite Sale-a-Bration set - which you can only get through tomorrow!)

Products Used:
Stamps:  Bliss
Ink:  Pretty in Pink, Early Espresso
Punches:  Oval (#119855) , Scalloped Oval (#119856)
Ribbon:  Early Espresso Grosgrain Ribbon
Other:  Big Shot, Two Tags Die

These are some bookmarks I made (30 of them total!) for the girls in a Bible Study I just completed.  I used a retired stamp set and Crumb Cake, Baha Breeze and Blushing Bride cardstock.  I think they turned out cute and hopefully the girls liked them!

Don't forget that tomorrow is the last day of Sale-a-Bration!  I'm kind of sad because it's such a great promotion!!  I mean, who doesn't love free stamp sets?!  But, never fear, I stocked up on some of the freebies and will offer you all a chance to win some blog candy every now and then!  ;)

To take advantage of the last, lingering moments of Sale-a-Bration, you can order 24/7 in my online store.  Or, feel free to contact me with questions, product recommendations, or to place your order.  Don't forget that you can earn a FREE Sale-a-Bration set (shown here) for each $50 order placed.

Hope you're all having a great week!  Thanks for stopping by!

St. Patrick's Day Goodies

Happy Thursday!  I'm so excited - I finally have the Petal Cone Die!!  I couldn't wait to use it and thought the Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge this week was the perfect time!  So.... here's what I came up with:

I wanted to make a couple of cute little St. Patty's Day treats and Stampin' Celebration gave me just the inspiration I needed!  I cannot take credit for coming up with this little box design on my own.  I found this idea from a fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Angie Juda.  I love her website and she even has a step-by-step video on how to make this box using the Petal Cone Die.  You can see it here.  Isn't it cute?  I plan to fill it with some chocolates!  I twirled and crimped some paper for the inside.  (Although I could have had my kids do this.  They think the crimper is the coolest tool ever.  I have to be careful not to leave it out or every piece of paper on my desk will be crimped.  Hopefully, Bellsouth won't mind that crimped bill - hee hee.)

Products Used:
Stamps:  So Happy For You (free Sale-a-Bration set!), Afterthoughts (free Hostess Set), Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink:  Old Olive
Paper:  Old Olive, Early Espresso, Whisper White, Brights Patterns DSP
Punches:   Decorative Label Punch, Large Oval
Other:  Big Shot, Petal Cone Die, Crimper, Dimensionals

Here's this week's photo that inspired me:

Hop on over to Stampin' Celebration and check out the other Design Team's projects.  Upload your project for a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  (And get your St. Patty's Day goodies done!)

Lucky Stampin' Inspiration

St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner and there is some fun inspiration for it over at Stampin' Celebration!  Here is the Inspiration Challenge photo for the week:

I don't think my card is quite as cute as I had envisioned, but here it is:

I do love all of these patterned papers.  They are from the free Hostess 1 In Color Designer Series Paper Pack.  I made the Shamrock our of the heart punch and actually hand cut the stem - which is really not my thing, but I think it turned out pretty cute.

Products used:
Paper:  Whisper White, Designer Series Paper Pack (In Color), Pear Pizzazz
Stamps:  So Happy For You (FREE Sale-a-Bration Set)
Ink:  Certainly Celery (also used to sponge around the shamrock)
Punches:  Full Heart, Modern Label
Other:  Big Shot Tasteful Trim Die (Still available/#120981), Designer Buttons in Brights, Linen Thread, Brads in Brights

There are so many fun little elements on this card - I love our Brads, Buttons and Linen Thread!  And I really love the Tasteful Trim Die for the Big Shot.  This was offered in the Holiday Mini Catalog but is still available for purchase!  This die is so versatile!  I use it all of the time for cards, scrapbook pages and other fun papercrafting projects!  I love that these steel-based dies can cut through chipboard, metal, wood, cork.... so much fun!!  To check out the Tasteful Trim Die in my online store, click here.

If you've ever thought about purchasing the Big Shot, now is the time.  During Sale-a-Bration, you earn FREE products for every $50 purchase! Woo hoo!
