Stampin' Up! Open House and Classes

As some of you already know, I am beginning a new business venture and becoming a Stampin' Up! (SU) Demonstrator!  I LOVE to scrapbook, make cards and create handmade gifts.  I have recently fallen in love with Stampin' Up! and am so excited to share my "paper passion" with you!

I'll be having my Open House on Friday, November 5th from 10-12:00 and 7-9:00 pm.  More information on that to come but please save the date!

I'm looking forward to hosting monthly crops again - I miss our girls' nights!  I also plan to offer fun classes and workshops for scrapbooking, cards, home decor and gift-giving.

I wanted to let you all know about some upcoming events I'm planning.

First, I want to invite you to my house to come and make your Christmas cards!  We'll have a couple of really cute designs at each class - below is a sneak peek for the first session!  Wouldn't you love to give a handmade card this holiday season?  Think you're not creative......?  I'll have everything cut and ready to go and will show you how fun and easy it is to use some stamps and glue!  I promise you'll have a great time and will feel so "crafty" when you leave - and proud of your creations!

I will also be offering a Christmas Decor Workshop where we'll be making the CUTEST glass block decoration.  I don't have a photo of it yet but it uses the vinyl image shown above.  You can use it to decorate your home this holiday or to give as a Christmas gift.  It looks so pretty at night when it's lit up!  Trust me!  ;)

This workshop will be offered on Friday, Dec. 10th from 7:30-8:30 for $18.  This class is limited to 6 so reserve your spot today!  **Update-4 spots left**

I've also had requests for a workshop to make some monogrammed cards for teacher gifts and kids' class goodies.  If you're interested in either of those let me know and we'll find a time!

**Class sizes are limited so reserve your seat today!  Click here to register for classes or use the link to the right.  I'll be adding more classes regularly so check back often!**

Birthday Celebration!

I feel like I've been celebrating my 40th birthday for over a week now!  This was a big year so my Grandma flew in town from Washington to celebrate our shared birthdays.  I turned 40 and my Grandma turned 90!  In a previous post, I showed the birthday card I made for her.  Well, here she is enjoying it!!  :)

Isn't she the cutest?  We've spent a lot of time together and it means so much to me that my boys know and love their great grandma!  Here are a few more pictures from our visit:

Three generations together - I just love it!  :)

I'll leave with a little creation I made for our entry table.  I found this little shadowbox frame at Michael's and "scrapped" a little page to go in it.  I thought it would be fun to change it out with the seasons.  My hubby and I just celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary so that's what sparked this page.

I already have my "Boo" page ready to go in there next month!  I'll post that later!

Well, that's it for now!  Happy Creating!

"Best Teacher" Card

Happy Monday everyone!  I found a super, fun and easy sketch over at Mojo Monday today.  I thought I'd use up some of my Imaginisce scraps.  Here's my take on the sketch.

I can't decide if I'll use it for my son's teacher's birthday next month or save it for Teacher Appreciation Week.....  I might just have to go stamp a Happy Birthday sentiment on the inside.....
:)
Thanks for looking and happy creating!

Card Sketch

Today Kim posted a new card sketch over at Let's Scrap.  I instantly knew I wanted to use my "Gobble, Gobble" stamps and die from Papertrey Ink.  Here's my take on the sketch:

It's a pretty simple card - but my hubby actually thought it was cute!  So, I made a few more to give out for Thanksgiving!  ;)  Thanks for looking!

Happy Creating!

I {HEART} Stampin' Up!

Would you believe, that it's September and I already have 20 Christmas cards made?!  I am so proud of myself!  I contacted Mandy, my local Stampin' Up demonstrator for a catalog because the last one I had was from 2006-2007!!  Well, I ended up at her SAS (Stamp-A-Stack) and had sooooooooo much fun!  Stampin' Up has so many awesome products!  I'm in love with their exclusive Big Shot dies, their clear-mount stamps and coordinating punches.... I could go on and on.

Here are two of the cards I made at Mandy's house.  Make sure and check out her awesome blog here!

Aren't they adorable?  I've already ordered the Contempo Christmas stamp set and am anxiously awaiting it's arrival!!  I have always been partial to acrylic stamps until now.  Stampin' Up's clear-mounted rubber stamps ROCK!  It's like the best of both worlds!  You get an awesome, sharp image but you can still see where you're stamping - which has always been a challenge for me!  :)   I am completely hooked!!

I left Mandy's house totally excited about these projects and couldn't wait to get home and look through my new SU Idea Book & Catalog.  This has been the big joke at my house lately - Am I ever going to put that catalog down and why was I taking it with me everywhere I went?!  lol!

I'm so impressed with everything I've seen that I've decided to become a SU demonstrator!  Woo hoo!!  I'm so excited to share their amazing products.  I will continue my scrapbooking passion with their fun items but also can't wait to do more papercrafting and card making.  I'm planning an open house November 5th and will be offering classes on a regular basis.  I'm also anxious to get our crop nights going again - I really miss scrapping with the girls each month!!  Next month I'll get my class schedule posted and SU website going for those of you that are interested.  :0)

So, that's the news I have for today!  Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend.  Ours will be filled with family, baseball and football!!

Happy Creating!

Boys, Dogs, and Baseball, Oh My!

Uh yeah..... where did the Summer go?  There has been lots going on since the last time I posted.  The boys are back in school.... but guess what?  I'm not!  Woo hoo!  I am officially a SAHM again!  So excited to be here taking care of our home, and most importantly, devoting my time and energy to my family!  It was bittersweet turning in my notice at the boys' school but I know it was the right decision and I'm where I need to be!  :)

The boys' sports are in full swing right now.  We have spent many hours at the football field and baseball field.  I'm taking lots of photos - of course!  I did get a chance to sneak away for a girls' weekend last month.  I went to the Scrapbook Cabin with 10 of my girlfriends.  I love, love, love that place!  We always have a great time - lots of laughter and a little bit of scrapping!  I've also been training for the 3-Day walk.  It will be here before we know it!  Thank goodness I have some training buddies in my neighborhood because those 12-15 mile walks would get really boring without them!!

I'm happy to be continuing on as a Contributing Design Team Member over at Let's Scrap.  This past month I've been "lurking in the shadows" though as I've been so busy.  I really miss it and am anxious to get back to scrapping with Cheri's awesome sketches!  The new Design Team rocks so make sure and check out the gallery for lots of inspiration!!

Finally, I wanted to share a few of my recent layouts:

This is a layout of the boys trying out their new inline skates that Santa brought them last Christmas.  The paper, gears and little cardstock stickers are from a kit I purchased over at Simply Obsessed.  Fun, fun!

I just love how this layout came together!  This is a picture of our sweet girl Marley - AKA, the sock snatcher.  If we leave any socks on the floor, Marley will find them!  You'd think this would keep the boys from leaving their socks lying around, but it doesn't seem to work that way!!  The supplies for this layout are mostly from a Paper Studio kit I found at Hobby Lobby.  Love that store!

Here is a two-page layout I did based on a sketch over at Let's Scrap.  I love these pictures of my son playing his first season in kid-pitch.  I never think to enlarge photos so I love when I see sketches that make me do it!

That's all for now!  Hope everyone is having a great week!
Happy Scrapping!
:)
