Happy Birthday Mom!

Hi there!  Today I'm wishing my mom, my friend and my biggest supporter in EVERYTHING that I do, a very Happy Birthday!!

Here's the card I made for her:

Products Used:
Stamps:  Easy Events
Ink:  Bashful Blue, Early Espresso, Soft Suede (for sponging)
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Bashful Blue, Early Espresso, Tea for Two
Other:  Paper Doilies, Stampin' Sponge, Very Vanilla Seam Binding, Crochet Trim
Big Shot:  Labels Collection Framelits, Adorning Accents Edgelits, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder

The inspiration for this card came from a sketch over at the Paper Players Challenge. Here's the sketch:

I just love sketches as a starting point for cards and scrapbook pages!  As you can see, I flipped the direction of my card and used the Labels Framelits in place of the circle.  :)

And here's a recent picture of me and my mom:

I bet she's cringing right now that I put this on here...  hee hee.  But she's such an important part of my life that I just had to share!  She's always been there for me - through boo boo's, heartbreak, cooking tips, parenting mishaps, cheering on my successes and catching me when I fall.  She's my sounding board and my supporter in every endeavor I take.  She encourages me in all that I do and loves my boys and hubby like they're her own.  So thank you mom - I love you!!  And happy birthday!  :)

*My Digital Studio fans - Stampin' Up! just added 7 Digital Content Discs to the Clearance Rack for - are you ready? - $1.00!!!  Hurry and get yours here while supplies last!!

Mom Rocks!

Happy Monday!  Today I have another digi scrapbooking layout to share.  I love scrapbooking random photos.... that show part of our day-to-day lives.  These aren't "pretty" photos by any means... but I do want my boys to remember this moment. (Because they thought I was so cool - lol).

I love creating in My Digital Studio!!  Most of the paper on this layout is from the Best Year Photobook Template download.  LOVE this download - so fun!  The download kits really help me mix papers together that I wouldn't normally think to put together!  I also love the frame on this layout - it's from the new Nobody's Business Photobook Template download.  Lots of fun elements in this kit!

Want to try digital scrapbooking?  My Digital Studio is so fun and easy to use!  One of my new customers completed 9 pages after her first digi class!  Woo hoo!  Now's a good time to try this new software - and earn FREE Sale-a-Bration products with your purchase!!

Thanks for visiting and checking out my crazy page!

Now - go do something creative!!

Smarty Pants Valentine's

I'm excited that Sale-a-Bration is finally here and my customers can get their hands on these fun stamps!!  As a demonstrator, we get to order (or earn for free) the new products early!!  It's such an awesome perk... you should join me!  ;)  Today, I want to share a project I created with one of the Sale-a-Bration stamp sets called, Patterned Occasions.

Aren't these cute little Valentine treats?  I played with the stamp a little...  Here is what the stamp actually looks like:

I used my Stampin' Write Markers so I could just use the word "smarty pants".  I thought it would go perfectly for a little box of Smarties candies.  :)

Products Used:
Stamps:  Patterned Occasions (earn for FREE with a $50 order), Teeny Tiny Wishes, That's the Ticket
Ink:  Marina Mist, Melon Mambo
Paper:  Marina Mist, Melon Mambo, Whisper White
Punches:  1 3/4" circle, 2 3/8" scalloped circle, 1" square (for end of flag), ticket duo punch
Other:  Big Shot, Petite Purse Die (I just cut off the flap), Happy Whale (heart), Rhinestone Jewels, Stampin' Write Markers, Sticky Strip, Dimensionals

Isn't that little ticket cute?  I love the new stamp set in the Spring Catalog - That's the Ticket.  It comes with 8 ticket stamps and our Ticket Duo Builder Punch coordinates! So fun!

That's the Ticket Stamp Set
Clear  - #128075
Wood - #128072

Coordinating Ticket Duo Punch - #126883

Lovin' the Neutrals

Hi!

I created this layout using My Digital Studio last night of my sweet son.  This layout combines two scrapbooking challenges that I found.  I just love challenges to get my creative juices flowing!  First, I used the sketch from MDS Monday.  Secondly, I played along with the digi scrapbooking challenge over at SCS where we were to create a layout using neutral colors.  Here is what I came up with:

Not the best quality photos I know... but how could I not scrapbook them?!

The MDS Monday challenge also suggested that we try to use cropped embellishments on our layout.  I  cropped the top part of the sentiment and then the bottom part before I combined it again.... so I could get the two different colors that I wanted together.  Sound confusing?  I made a YouTube video to show you what I did.  :)

Disclaimer:  I'm new to the whole YouTube thing so go easy on me as the beginning of the audio was cut out... but the dogs weren't barking, my phone didn't ring, my calendar reminders didn't pop up on my computer screen... etc.  So, I didn't re-do it.  LOL!

Let me know if you have any questions about creating in MDS.

Stampin' Mid-Monthspiration & a New Stamp Set!

We are halfway through the month, which means it's time for a little Mid-Monthspiration over at the Stampin' Celebration Challenge Blog!  I created a 2nd page to one of my previous layouts in My Digital Studio.

So, I kind of cheated on this layout.  All I did in MDS was to "create a duplicate page mirrored" in MDS.  Then, I had a great starting point.  All I had to do was add my photos and change the journaling!!  I'll get a video uploaded later to show just how simple this is!

Make sure and stop by the Stampin' Celebration Blog and check out the other fab projects from the Design Team.  You have until the 25th of this month to join us!  We'd love to see your creations!!

Stampin' Up! is full of all kinds of surprises lately!  Lots of new and exciting things to kick off their 25-year anniversary celebration!
