MDS Blog Hop

Hi there!  It's time for out last MDS Hop of the year!  Today, we're sharing what we've been working on.  I haven't had a lot of time to scrapbook lately…  But, I did make something this week in MDS.  My sister-in-law recently had a baby - the cutest little girl ever!  They came over last week and she was telling me that she wished she would've bought these monthly baby stickers that she saw at a shop in Hilton Head.  And of course I thought….. well, I can make those!!  So, I did……

Here is the first set I made:

The text is in white… just not showing up that great in the photos.  (Even though I went back and re-saved them as png's.  Grrrrr…)

Then, I went and created another set:

Again, the inner circle is white….  :/

So, the idea of these is to print them on adhesive paper and make stickers out of them. Then, each month, you put them on your baby's onesie and take a photo.  Such a fun way to document your baby's growth - and of course would make cute scrapbook pages!!  I can't wait to get a picture of my sweet little niece sporting her onesies!  :)

I'm anxious to see which set she likes better.  Which one is your favorite?

I can't wait to see what the rest of the designers have been doing with MDS.  Click the button below to hop on over to Beth's blog!!

Have you seen the weekly deals?  The Jingle and Joy Download is on sale this week! It's a super cute download!!

Merry Christmas!!

MDS Blog Hop - Christmas Traditions

Wow, this week has flown by and it's already time for our MDS Blog Hop!  Today, we're sharing Christmas/Winter memories or traditions.  I always have tons of pictures from the holidays.  Sometimes, the random little pictures on my phone end up being my favorite!  I love scrapping them because they usually give a glimpse into our everyday life.  I took some of the pictures from last year and scrapped them Project Life style.

All of these crazy little photos mean something pretty special to our family -- and that's what scrapbooking is all about!!  :)

While I was going through my layouts in MDS, I found one I created last year.  I think it might have been for our hop - so you may have seen it before! I made it with a blank photo frame.  And, I realized that I never went back and added my photo!  So, I did that and am ready to have it printed.  Yay!  Here's the finished layout:

This layout uses the fun paper from the 12 Days of Christmas Swatchbook Template download which is on sale this week for $7.77!!  It's a great download -- you don't have to use it for a swatchbook!!

Well, it's time to hop on over to Beth's blog.  I'm excited to see what she'll be sharing with us!  Click the button below to find out!

Project Life - High School

Today is another Blog Hop with my talented MDS friends!  Last time we focused on Project Life.  Today we are sharing what we've been working on in My Digital Studio. Well guess what??  I'm still working on Project Life - I'm hooked!!

My oldest son started high school (gasp) this year.  I wanted to make a scrapbook of his high school years to give to him when he graduates.  I decided to do it in MDS - Project Life style.  I'm not going week by week, but just documenting events throughout the school year as they happen.  Here are the first couple of pages that I created:

I've used the Happiness Is Project Life Cards Digital Download to start off his album. I'm still so excited that Stampin' Up! has partnered with Becky Higgins to bring us these exclusive Project Life products!  I have both the digital and the traditional versions and I just can't get enough!!  I decided to do the digital version for his album in hopes it will be easy for me to keep up over the next four years!!  Here are a few more pages I've completed:

I LOVE being able to include so many photos in these layouts.  I also love how in MDS I can add journaling & text over the photos.  I want to make sure to include lots of journaling in this special album!  (The font I used for journaling is Tahoma.)

You might have noticed that I used three different layouts for these pages.  I made templates in MDS that coordinate with the Project Life Page Protectors.  I added some stitching around the "pockets" for a fun effect.

I'm having so much fun with this album that I had to share -- even though I'm trying to keep it a secret from him over the next four years! :)

I'm glad you stopped by and we hope you'll follow along on our Blog Hop!  Next up is Beth Rush!  I always look forward to her creations!!  Click the button below to see what she's been up to in MDS:

Have a great day!!

Laugh Out Loud

Yesterday I had a chance to scrapbook with Cindy & Monika's Virtual Crop.  Cindy posted a fun sketch that I used as inspiration for this layout:

I was going through my photos the other day and knew I wanted to scrapbook these silly pictures!

Don't you love the background on this layout?  It's from the Natural Composition Overlays.  The depth is so great!

Time to get my kiddos off to school.  Have a fabulous Thursday!

Gratitude Journal - SC91

Hi there!  It's time for another sketch challenge over at Stampin' Celebration!  I STILL don't have my craft room unpacked so I used MDS again - which you know I love!  I created a gratitude journal  (that I can't wait to get printed!!)  Here's the front cover:

And this is the back cover:

I plan on getting this printed with the spiral binding.  I've done those in the past and I think they're easier to write in.  :)

The papers used in my journal are from the Wonderfall Kit.  It's one of the weekly deals on sale for only $4.77!!  Check it out HERE!

We'd love for you to play along with Stampin' Celebration!  Here's the sketch to use as your inspiration:

You have two weeks to play along!  Link your project to the Stampin' Celebration Blog by 9 pm (EST) on Nov. 21st.  Make sure and check out the other Designers' creations as well!

Thanks for visiting!

Mesmerized by Mickey

I'm on a digi scrapping roll this week!  I've created 8 pages and have an all day crop to go to tomorrow!  Whoop, whoop!!  Today I found this fun sketch over at MDS Monday and had to play along!  I scrapped a couple of cute Disney photos from years ago!

Seriously, could his face (and those cheeks) be any cuter?!  It's so sad how quickly they grow up!!  Our Disney vacations are definitely some great times to look back on!

Here's Anita's sketch that I used for my inspiration:

I love this sketch (almost as much as I love Anita's work!).  It came together quickly and enabled me to use lots of different paper.  Very fun sketch!  I used the sequins in place of the splatters and recolored them to Basic Gray.  I love how they look silver. :)

Looking forward to getting some more scrap time in this weekend!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Digital Project Life with Stampin' Up!

Happy Hop Day!  Our MDS crew is back at it again and this week it's all about Project Life!  This is the time of year when I always scramble and scrap last year's Christmas photos!  I have to get them done before it's Christmastime again!  The thing I LOVE about Project Life is that you can get so many photos scrapped on a double page layout!  Here's my first double page spread:

I always take so many pictures at Christmas.  We celebrate with my side of the family Christmas Eve, just the four of us Christmas morning and then my hubby's side of the family Christmas evening.  So… lots of photo ops for sure!  It's nice to fit THIRTEEN photos on double page layout!!  Plus journaling and cute embellies!  Whoop!

I was on a roll and wanted to scrap the rest of our Christmas day with another double page Project Life layout:

I used the same ("page protector") layout for both of these.  I found most of my photos went horizontal so this design worked best!  To make it easy, I created a photo layout template:

I added photo boxes where I wanted them, rounded the corners to 20, and saved the page as a photo layout.  Now, whenever I want to create a PL page using this template, I can insert this saved layout. It really speeds things up!  :)

I can't wait to see what the other ladies are doing with Project Life!  We have a guest designer this month - Monika Davis!  So make sure and follow our Blog Hop all the way through to see what she created!  Click the button below to hop over to Beth's blog:

And don't forget to check out the new MDS downloads just released!!

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!!

SC90 - Bridal Shower

Happy Thursday!  It's been a long, long time since I've joined the fun over at Stampin' Celebration!  We moved last month but we are finally getting settled.  As a matter of fact, my hubby is installing the cabinets in my craft room as I type this!  Oh, how I've missed it!  It's been almost 10 weeks since it's been in boxes… so sad!  But, I was able to use the inspiration photos to create a layout in MDS!

Here is the inspiration piece from Stampin' Celebration:

I used the wood, the flowers and the colors as my inspiration. :)

Products Used:
MDS - Soft Blooms, Fancy Frames, Downtown Grunge, Be Yourself (background paper), Season Snapshot Project Life (woodgrain stamp)

Make sure and check out the other Design Team creations over on the Stampin' Celebration Blog!  We'd love for you to play along and use the linky tool to show us your projects!  You have until Friday, November 7th at 9 pm (EST) to join us!

Thanks for visiting!!

MDS Hop - Getting it Done!

Welcome to today's MDS Blog Hop!  Today we are showing you what we've been working on in MDS.  I was looking through some of our scrapbooks the other day and noticed that I never did the 2nd page of a New Year's layout from a couple of years ago. Luckily, with MDS, it was so easy to finish!! I imported the first page into MDS and then created a duplicate page mirrored.  I changed a few things and added a few more photo boxes.  Once I added my photos and a few stamps I was done!!  :)

Here is the original layout (or left side of this now double page spread):

I used the Midnight Cheer download.  It's such a fun kit that comes with everything you need!  All I added was a little glimmer paper, twine and stitching! :)

I still have a lot of pages to fill in my scrapbooks… but MDS is helping me to get it done!!!

Next up on our hop is Beth Rush!  Click the button below to link to to her blog!  I can't wait to see what she's been up to!

MDS Decor

Happy Thursday!  For today's MDS Blog Hop, we're showcasing MDS projects used for Home Decor and/or Party Decor.  This was a bit of a struggle for me because we've recently moved and I've yet to unpack my craft room!  (gasp!)  While I don't have my project completely finished, I'll show you what I do have done so far.  This weekend I'm doing the Atlanta 2-day Walk for Breast Cancer.  We'll walk 20 miles to raise money for breast cancer patients and breast health.  I did the Susan G. Komen 3-day walk years ago and it's such an amazing experience.  I was ready to do another walk and found this one to do with a few friends!

On Saturday night, teams can decorate their tables for the dinner we all attend.  I wanted to make a couple of table decorations for ours. :)

I created this table centerpiece (there will actually be two) and a frameable with the help of MDS!  Our team has received donations along the way and we are walking in honor of and in memory of friends, family, acquaintances and loved ones.  The frameable was made listing all of these special people. :)

I've created lots of centerpieces similar to this before.  They are so easy!  The name of our team is the "Sole Sisters".  I printed out our team name in MDS - adding the cute Ribbon of Hope in place of the "l".  I cut it out using my Big Shot Labels Collection Framelits and layered it with Melon Mambo cardstock.  Both sides are the same and glued onto a dowel.  Once this is added to a cute little bucket (Target $1 spot years ago) with some fun shredded confetti, you have a cute centerpiece!

Although this isn't party/home decor, I want to show you the blog header I made for our team Facebook Page.  Pretty cute!

As you might have noticed, I used that at the top of our frameable. :)

I have plans to make confetti for the table using my Silhouette and the MDS Ribbon of Hope as well… but I haven't found unpacked my cutting pads yet…  Hoping to remedy that tomorrow!!

Thanks for joining us on our MDS Blog Hop!  Next up is Beth Rush!  Click the button below to see what fun project she's created!!

Have a wonderfully, creative day!
