I've Got Curves!

I found a digital scrapbooking challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers this week.  The challenge was to use a new (to me punch), lots of curves - in the punches and text, and round or curved photos.  I realized as I was creating my page.... how much I naturally like straight lines on my pages!!  But, I did it -- and here is the result:

I love the new Freeform feature in My Digital Studio 2.  It is so cool!!  I used it to create the curved line on my banner, the stitching inside of the blue circle, and for the curved text!  I love how it all came together!  I'm happy to get these photos scrapped!  This was a trip to Six Flags with my mom and boys.  We got soaked on the Thunder River water ride!  It was too funny!

Don't forget --- only TWO more days to take advantage of this month's Spooktacular Offer!  You'll get an awesome Halloween Project Kit when you purchase the Starter Kit! Sometimes you just gotta scraplift....

I was looking through my July/August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine the other day and found a scrapbook layout on page 27 by Jen Papadimitriou that I knew I wanted to "scraplift."  This page came together so quickly -- I just love when that happens! Here it is:

I had several photos of my son and his baseball teammates on the beach.  I knew a neutral background with some pops of color would be perfect for these photos!  Have I said this enough yet -- I LOVE MDS!  Digital scrapbooking has really helped me to get lots of pages done--quickly!  And, with the MDS Sale being extended until September 14th, I'm trying to get as much done as I can!  Then, I can have them all printed at once at 31% off!  Yahoooooo!!

Have you checked out the new downloads from yesterday?  Lots of goodies that I can't wait to play with!  Click here to see the pdf of this week's downloads.

Also, if you haven't tried My Digital Studio 2 yet, what are you waiting for?!  Visit my online store to download your free 30-day trial.  I even posted a video yesterday on my Facebook Page - for those of you that are new to MDS - showing you how to make a scrapbook page using one of the templates that's included in the free download.  Here's the video:

Go easy on me..... a videographer I'm not.....  lol!  (If you area having problems viewing it, you can click here to watch it on You Tube.

Don't forget to check out this month's Spooktacular Offer!  You'll get an awesome Halloween Project Kit when you purchase the Starter Kit!  Fun, fun!  (Hurry, offer ends Friday!!)  PLUS, if you're interested in purchasing the MDS software, you can choose that plus some downloads for your Starter Kit!!  (How perfect is that?!)

Travel Log Scrapbook Layout

Ugh - I've pulled a muscle in my back and have been in bed trying to let it heal.  Not fun - but, at least I have My Digital Studio and my laptop!  I was able to get a few scrapbook layouts finished!  Yay!  This two-page layout was inspired by the sketch over at Let's Scrap.  It's a great sketch to get lots of photos on your pages!  Here's my layout:

(Click the images for a larger view)

Most of the elements and paper on this layout are from the Travel Log Kit.  I did sneak in a few papers from Twitterpated and Tickets & Tags that I thought coordinated well.  The title (Timeless Type Alphabet Punch) the banner (Flag Punch), the trim along the bottom (Tasteful Trim), and the brads are all included with the MDS2+ Software.  It is really worth it to buy this "pumped up" version with so much digital content included!  LOVE it! But, if you'd like to give it a try first, remember that you can download the 30-day free trial version here.

Blue Ribbon Birthday Card

Today's card was inspired by two different challenges.  The layout of this card was inspired by this week's sketch over at RetroSketches.

And the color scheme was inspired by this week's challenge over at ColorQ.

This is the first time I've played along with these challenge sites and I will definitely be back - very inspiring!  I was excited to finally use the Blue Ribbon Stamp Set from the new Catalog.  What a fun stamp set!  So many possibilities with all of the coordinating punches and framelit dies!!
