Happy Father's Day!

Lovin' the Neutrals

Hi!

I created this layout using My Digital Studio last night of my sweet son.  This layout combines two scrapbooking challenges that I found.  I just love challenges to get my creative juices flowing!  First, I used the sketch from MDS Monday.  Secondly, I played along with the digi scrapbooking challenge over at SCS where we were to create a layout using neutral colors.  Here is what I came up with:

Not the best quality photos I know... but how could I not scrapbook them?!

The MDS Monday challenge also suggested that we try to use cropped embellishments on our layout.  I  cropped the top part of the sentiment and then the bottom part before I combined it again.... so I could get the two different colors that I wanted together.  Sound confusing?  I made a YouTube video to show you what I did.  :)

Disclaimer:  I'm new to the whole YouTube thing so go easy on me as the beginning of the audio was cut out... but the dogs weren't barking, my phone didn't ring, my calendar reminders didn't pop up on my computer screen... etc.  So, I didn't re-do it.  LOL!

Game Day Photobook

I was over the moon excited when I saw the new My Digital Studio downloads that Stampin' Up! released this week!  Lots of sports - and as a mom of two boys who spends almost every weekend at some type of ball field, this was right up my alley!

I couldn't wait to play - here's what I created:

Blue Ribbon Birthday

Happy Birthday to my Dad!!  This occasion calls for a birthday card!  ;)



I love the Orchard Harvest DSP (#126895) in the Holiday Catalog.  And I thought this particular pattern would make a good masculine card.  I also used the Blue Ribbon Stamp Set (#125981) and coordinating Bitty Banners Framelits (#129267) and Punches. Too fun!  I embossed the Early Espresso cardstock with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder (#123134).  And stamped on the Cotton Ribbon (#127844) with the Family Reunion Stamp Set (#122712).  I hope he likes it!  ;)

Masculine Scrapbook Layout

Hi!  I am thoroughly enjoying my 3-day weekend - how about you?!  I have so much to do to get ready for my trip to San Antonio next week for the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference - soooo excited!  But, I did a quick digi-layout this morning that I wanted to share with you.  My Digital Studio is REALLY helping me get caught up on my scrapping.  :)


This layout is of my hubby and sweet boys on Father's Day.  We bought him a really cool portable grill that we can take to the pool and tailgating.  It was designed by Paul Jr. from that motorcycle show he loves - so he was pretty excited about it!  :)

Most of this layout uses the Number One download.  It has a great masculine feel to it! The little journaling block is from there as well.  If you don't have the digi-bug yet, this layout would be easy to duplicate using traditional scrapbooking.  I never know ahead of time which photos to print bigger - so I love being able to make my photos whatever size I want in My Digital Studio!  So easy!!

Sail Away

Last Chance - Extreme Guitar

I am really sad to see the Extreme Stamp Sets go.  I just love them and they make such great "guy" cards. Here's a card I made last month for my son's guitar teacher.


My car battery died while I was sitting in his driveway waiting for Evan to finish his lesson.  Mr. Richard (the awesome guitar teacher), spent almost an hour cleaning my battery cable-thingys and jump-starting my car.  He even called me the next day to make sure we got it fixed.  I wanted to make him a thank you card with a restaurant gift card - because I know we interrupted his dinner time that evening!  He told my son - "Wow, that looks like an expensive card!"  My son told him I made it and went on to tell him all about my Stampin' Up! business!  (Insert beaming smiley face here!)

I know I will continue to use these stamp sets long after they're gone - there's the Extreme Guitar, Skateboard, Dirt Bike, Snowboard and Surfboard.  Make sure and get yours before it's too late!  You can shop for these stamp sets in my online store here through June 30th.  Then, they're gone for good.  :(

Father's Day Photo Brag Card

This week's Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge really motivated me to create something for Father's Day!  I've been wanting to make a photo brag card for awhile now and knew this was the perfect occasion!!
