MDS Blog Hop Challenge

Hi!  There is a wonderful group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who have a weekly MDS (My Digital Studio) blog hop.  This week, they are celebrating their 1-year anniversary of the blog hop and challenged their followers to make a card using MDS.  The theme is -- celebrate.  So, since my hubby and I will be celebrating our 17 year anniversary next month, I thought I would make him a card.  I haven't done a lot of digital designing with cards - I mainly use it for scrapbooking and home decor - so that in itself was a bit of a challenge!  But, here's what I came up with:

I do love dimension on my cards so I might just add a little hybrid-ness once I print it.  I would love to pop up the sentiment or add some pearls... we'll see!  I'm hoping this card will inspire my husband to take me to Paris for our anniversary.... yeah, right!  lol  ;)

I downloaded the new MDS2+ software yesterday and was up into the wee hours of the night playing! My mind is racing with all of the wonderful possibilities... So many new amazing features in this program.  I just don't think I could find anything better out there.... it's fun, it's easy, and everything coordinates with all of the Stampin' Up! images and colors that I already love!!  There's even a feature now to export images to your e-cutter.  Awesome!

I did use a couple of the new software features on my card:
**Recolor Stamp Image - WOW!  I used the new recolor tool so I could customize the "together forever" sentiment.  So easy and looks great!
**Recrop Stamp Image - This is so cool!  I cropped the Eiffel Tower stamp image so I could get the bottom of it to look just so....  (kind of hard to explain, but trust me... a definite plus!)
Products Used:

Software:  My Digital Studio 2
Downloads:  Love Letter DSP (#124012), Artistic Etchings Stamp (#124013), Wedding Words Stamp (#129342), Creative Elements Stamp (#127603), Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch (#122151), Labels Collection Punch (#129336)

Another thing that I was sooo excited about...was that everything I used was included in the MDS2+ software!!  (There is over $500 worth of content in this version.  I won't need to buy anything new for awhile.)  I didn't have any of those downloads yet, so it was worth it for me to get the MDS2+ instead of the MDS2 upgrade.  (Confusing.... but email me if you have any questions!  You can get a FREE 30-trial here or visit my online store here to see all of the other MDS2 options as well!)

Thanks for visiting!
