Stampin' Up! Paper Storage - Free Printable

I always have people ask me how I store my ever-growing collection of scrapbooking and stamping supplies.  Today, I want to share with you how I store some of my paper. It took some time to find a system that I was really happy with, but I've found that I prefer vertical storage for all of my paper.  Here is how I store my 8.5 x 11 cardstock.  (And keep scrolling down for the FREE paper tab printable.)

I found these plastic file boxes at Wal-Mart.

I love them because there's a lid to keep the dust out!

And, the lid is attached and easily folds down behind the box.

I found these file jackets at Staples that I love.

They're like a big expandable pocket!

I store my full sheets of paper in the back and my scraps in the front.
This really makes it easy when I'm working on projects and when I'm cleaning up!
And, if I need to grab a bunch of paper for a class, then I just pull out the whole file.

Then, I add this cute little paper tab (that I'll share in a minute) to organize my paper by color.

I recently redid my paper tabs in My Digital Studio and thought I'd share them with my blog followers and customers!  Simply print out the 2-page pdf and punch out with the Round Tab Punch.

If you didn't get the Round Tab Punch before it retired (sniff, sniff), then check back in a few days as I'm working on another sheet you can use with one of our current punches.  ;)

You can download the color tabs for the Round Tab Punch HERE.  (SEE UPDATED LINKS BELOW)  And if you use it and love it, then please leave me a comment and/or like my Facebook Page!  :)

**Please note:  The original link is stored on Scribd.  It's been brought to my attention that Scribd is now asking people to pay to join their site in order to download my free file.  I have no idea, why or how this is even possible - as my intent was to offer this free to my blog readers and fellow Stampin' Up! enthusiasts!  (When I log into my Scribd account it still shows it as a free download?!  And I have never paid to join the site.)
**I have added links now through Google Docs, but had to add as two separate files due to file size restrictions.  It appears to have lost some resolution through Google Docs, but hopefully you all can still use them!

I love your printable storage tabs for 8 1/2 x 11" paper. It only prints part of the last row on both pages 1 & 2. Is there any way to maybe put it in a word file so we can print everything?

Cori Kozak said...

Bobbi - Do you think it has something to do with your printer settings? Can you change your margins so that it fits correctly?

Diane (fionna51) said...

For Printing:
When you go to print this document, and the Adobe print command box comes up, make sure that you click on "reduce oversized pages" instead of "full size". The tabs will fall inside your printer margins and will be the right sized to punch.

I love your printable but unfortunately when I try to download it I am being asked to pay for and subscribe to something called Scribd first, please can you help. Many thanks Sharon x

Cori Kozak said...

Sharon - I've never heard of that before? I'll have to look into it as it was a free service when I joined. I just emailed you the file. I will try and update the file on this post as well if necessary. Thanks for the update!

I was so excited when I saw this because I wanted to use them on my sponges as well as scrap folders. But like a few others above I was taken to Scribd and I would need to subscribe and pay for them. Could you email them to me to?

This is a great idea! Unfortunately I get the same thing as Sharon by some site asking me to pay $9.99 for a one-time download of your file??

I tried to download your fantastic project, but was asked to pay for the site before I could. I wish there were a pdf or something else. Thank you for sharing anyway.

I, too, was asked to pay for the service. I would love the project emailed to me.

Same thing -- $9 for a Day Pass to download. This is a great idea for keeping not only organizing but actually having the color reference. I love it and witll coontinue to follow you. i hope we come up with a solution for downloading. Thanks!

Cori Kozak said...

This is so frustrating! How can they all of a sudden start charging for something I'm sharing for free?! Crazy! When I get home I will try to do it through google docs.

Kristy said...

Hi Cori. I am getting the same request from Scribd asking for payment first. Can you use a differnt program, like ushare? Or, in the alternative, can you email me the pdf?

I love your organization tips!

Would you please email me a copy too? Unfortunately SCRIBD only allows 'free' documents to be available for a limited time. After that it asks users to pay subs. Oh well.

My email: carolynmcpherson@y7mail.com

Many thanks :)

Ok... I have updated the files through Google Docs. I had to upload as two separate files due to file size restrictions with Google. But... no one should be asked to pay now! I'm not sure the resolution is as great as before... but hopefully they'll print ok! I emailed the file to those that left their email address. Everyone else should be able to use the updated links now! :)

Thanks so much!!! Your organization ideas are marvelous!

Lynnette H said...

have you done the tabs for other punches yet? Unfortunately, I didn't get this punch.

Unknown said...

TY so very much for generously sharing!!! I finally decided on a scrap org system much like the one you have. I then was making color tabs for each folder when I discovered you had invented the "wheel" already!! LOL So much easier. I always say, if I ha known HOW much time I'd spend organizing and re-organizing craft stuff, I might not have started crafting!! Like I had a choice????

Love the paper storage tags, thanks for sharing! I am help my son put together a notebook for his football card collection with team dividers. I would love to use the round tab punch idea that you used for the paper tabs, but I am not the most skilled MDS user. Would you be willing to share how you did your template so I can attempt one? Thanks

Thanks for all of the sweet comments everyone! When I get a comment it usually doesn't give me your email address so I can't reply. I will post updated ones with the new colors soon. I will do a new post but will try and remember to link back here with it. I'm not sure I have the new colors in MDS yet so will need to look into that. Dawn - email me at ckozak@me.com and I will try to explain it to you. :)

I was wondering whether you have made up the tabs for the new 2015-2017 in colours? I previously downloaded this file for my paper storage, and hope you have set up ones for our new in colours to share. PS. I didn't buy last years colours because I didn't like them, so didn't need the tabs for them.

It's now 12-26-15, and I'm wondering if you would be able to update for all the new colors! I know we have more coming in June, but even now to have an update would be GREAT!!!!! Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, etc.

With the discontinuation of MDS, I will no longer be able to make any updated storage tabs! Sorry!!
