MDS Blog Hop - Monster Hugs

It's time for the MDS Blog Hop!  I'm excited to join these talented ladies again! For today's hop, I want to share you with you a layout for a Disney album I've been working on.  We have been to Disney numerous times and for some reason I haven't scrapped my photos from our 2002 trip!!  Can you believe it??  I have some incredibly cute photos from that trip too!  Here is my layout:

There's really nothing fancy about this layout but I absolutely love these photos!!  I get teary eyed every time I look at them and am so happy to get them scrapbooked.  My son, who was 3 at the time LOVED all of the characters at Disney World.  He carried around his little autograph book and every time we passed a character, we HAD to wait in that line (no matter how long it was).  It was so cute when he ran up and hugged these guys from Monsters Inc.  He looked so tiny next to Mike and Sulley!

I am on a mission to complete this album and am having so much fun reminiscing along the way!!  Do you have any photos that are so special you're waiting to scrapbook them?  Or am I the only one that does that?!  lol!

MDS Blog Hop!!

Eeeeek!  I was so excited when I was asked to be a Guest Blogger on the MDS Blog Hop!  My first reaction was -- I'm not worthy!!  What am I going to create?!  But, then my love of MDS and these amazing women {whose blogs I frequently stalk} took over and all was well.  lol!

When I found out that today's MDS Blog Hop theme was Valentine's/Love, I searched and searched through my photos.  I realized that I don't take many pictures on Valentine's Day.  So, tomorrow, it's ON!  My poor guys aren't going to be able to escape the mamarazzi this Valentine's Day!  (hee hee)

Stampin' Up! has so many fun, lovey-dovey downloads!  I used a mix of several downloads to create my layout:

For this page, I scrapbooked a photo of my sweet hubby.  I'll never forget our first Valentine's Day together.  I was in college at the University of Georgia and we had only been dating for about a month.  He drove 1 1/2 hours so he could cook dinner for me.  I walked in the kitchen and saw him pull a piece of notebook paper out of his back pocket - where his mom had written down the directions for him!!  I just thought it was the cutest thing ever.  :)  Neither one of us are good cooks to this day -- thank goodness for moms!  lol!

Here is a complete list of the downloads used for this layout:  My Valentine Supply List

What I was really excited about was the "xoxoxo" outline for the heart.  I used the freeform and "text on a path" features in MDS to create this effect.  I love how it turned out!  The video below shows how to create the heart shaped text:

I can't wait to see what the other ladies created for the Blog Hop!!  Make sure and follow along to their fabulous blogs by clicking the sneak peeks below!

Thanks for visiting!!  Have a wonderfully creative day! :)

Field Day Fun Scrapbook Layout

Hi!
Just a quick post to share a couple of scrapbook pages I created last week.  The MDS site challenged us to make layouts using a "divided page".  I knew this would be great for events where I have lots of pictures to scrap.  I chose photos from my son's Field Day at school last year.

With two boys, I don't use a lot of purple.... but how could I resist with those shirts?! (Which, by the way, were ALL tie-dyed by yours truly...)

I had a lot of fun creating this and loved getting so many photos on each page.  I will save this layout and use it again for other events - that's the beauty of digital scrapbooking!  So easy to duplicate!

Some of the fun elements on this page are from the Lemonade Stand Disc.  This disc is only available during Sale-a-Bration - and you can get it for FREE with a $50 order!! Hurry!  This is only available through March 22nd!  CLICK HERE to see all of the fun products you can earn free during Sale-a-Bration!

Thanks for visiting!  I hope you make time to get creative this week!! :)

Valentine's Lollipop Treat

I love making cute little treats for friends!  My fellow DT member, SU demonstrator and friend Erica Cerwin, is a pro at coming up with super cute projects.   (I'll admit - I stalked her blog long before I had the pleasure of meeting her!)  When I saw Erica's latest tutorial, I had to have it!  I couldn't wait to make this cute little lollipop holder with my new envelope die and Oh Whale stamp set!

I hope you can see that it's a lollipop - I shoved it into this little pail so it would stand up for a photo!  lol.

I think the Oh, Whale stamp set and coordinating Happy Whale Clearits Die is the cutest thing ever!  I love the little sentiments that go with it!  I couldn't resist using it for this project!

Oh, Whale! Stamp Set

You can click the links above to purchase this stamp set in my online store.

And don't forget the coordinating die:

Have you started your Valentine's projects yet?

Thanks for stopping by!  And make sure to find time to get creative today!
