MDS Monday - Favorites

So this week is the last challenge over at MDS Monday.  I've enjoyed playing along with their sketches and truly love all things MDS.  This week, the challenge is to create a layout using your favorite download.  I have several -- Downtown Grunge (I think I use those frames on almost every layout), The Best Year (so great for quick monthly pages) and the Game Day Photobook Template.

I've been working on several pages so I can get them printed through Stampin' Up! before their print services are gone for good.  (sniff, sniff)  I've used template pages from the above downloads to get them done quickly!  It's pretty amazing how you can change a few elements and colors and it looks completely different!  Here, are some pages I did using the Game Day Photobook Template download.

I kind of feel like I'm cheating when I use the template pages -- but I'm always so happy with the results!!  I changed colors, added some different stamps and journaling and then the pages are perfect for my photos!! Love it!  I recently purchased several other downloads that have photobook templates while they're on sale. I can't wait to get these pages printed!

I'll post some layouts later this week using my other two favorite downloads. Thanks to the ladies over at MDS Monday for the inspiration.  :)

Have a great day!

PLxSU Trio Challenge #4

Good morning!  It's time for a new PLxSU Trio Challenge!  This week we challenge you to use arrows on your Project Life pages.  Easy right?!  I spent my Saturday scrapbooking with friends.  I made two more pages of a beach trip we took to Hilton Head.  I used arrows on both:

We can't wait to see what you do this week!  You have until next Sunday evening to post your creations on our PLxSU Trio Challenge Facebook Page.  And don't forget to stop by Holly and Amber's blogs to see what they've created!

Hi there!  I'm excited for week #2 of our PLxSU Trio Challenge.  This week the trio challenges you to use a list on your Project Life page.  Any kind of list will do… get creative!  I'm getting spring fever, so I did a page from a trip we took {four years ago} to Hilton Head Island!

One of the cards I used had "Happiness is:" on it.  So I used that for my list!

I'm having fun combining stamping with my Project Life layouts. :)

MDS Blog Hop - Travel Journal

Happy Thursday!!  It's time for our MDS Blog Hop!  This week we are focusing on a couple of downloads that are or will be in the Featured Deals!!  I chose to use the Travel Journal Digital Kit (which is a sneak peek of next week's deal - hint, hint).  This kit has some neutral, blue and orange colors but also some fun travel stamps!  Here is the {super quick} layout I created:

Downloads Used:

Travel Journal Digital Kit, Downtown Grunge (frames), Gold Sequins

I love using the coordinating papers in a download to create a quick page!  I still have photos to scrapbook from our cruise and I was so happy to find that cruise ship stamp! I didn't even know it was there!  Yay!!  I used my trusty Downtown Grunge frames and threw in some gold sequins to complete my page!  I used the color match tool to get the stamps just right!

I can't wait to see how the other designers in our MDS Blog Hop used their downloads this week!  Make sure and hop along with us!! Next up on our Blog Hop is Beth!  Click the button below to follow along to her blog!

Horsin' Around with MDS Monday

I was in the mood to scrapbook today…. and I found a fun sketch over at MDS Monday as my inspiration.  Here's the quick page I put together:

Downloads Used:

Natural Composition Overlays, Extreme Elements, Mis-stiched, Game Day Stitching, Burlap Ribbon, Blossoms Abound, Essential Wooden Elements, Oval Bubble Punch

I looked through a bunch of photos on my computer, and found these from a trip to Hilton Head a couple of years ago.  I thought they fit the sketch perfectly!

I had fun playing along with this sketch!  And can't wait until my layout is printed and in my album!  :)

Jamaica - No Problem

Hi there!

I created a layout weeks ago for the current challenge over at Stampin' Celebration. Then, the end-of-the-school-year craziness happened, we went out of town, and I never got my layout posted!  So, I'm adding it here even though it's late!  The fun inspiration challenge photos instantly made me think of our fun day in Jamaica!  I have lots of photos to scrap from that day so I will probably add a second page to go along with this one:

And here are the Stampin' Celebration inspiration photos:

When I saw the signs I wanted to create a project in MDS so I could use the cute sign stamp from the Boardwalk Stamp Brush Set.  :)

Products Used:

Boardwalk, Timeless Type Junior Alphabet, Small Polka Dot DSP

There will be a new sketch challenge posted on the 15th so make sure and check the Stampin' Celebration Blog!

Have you checked out the new Annual Catalog?  There are so many fun, new items!!

Anchors Away Scrapbook Layout

It's time for a fun inspiration challenge over at Stampin' Celebration!

When I saw these photos I instantly knew I wanted to scrapbook more of our cruise pictures.  And lucky for me, I have two downloads that work perfectly for that theme! Here is the layout I created in MDS:

Downloads Used:

High Tide, Anchors Away, World Traveler, Downtown Grunge, This & That Epic Day, Bakers Twine, 12 Days of Christmas, Snowy Soiree, Story of Us, Legit Kit, Finest Simplicity

I loved scrapbooking these memories for my kids to look back on!  And I've had so much fun with the Anchors Away and High Tide downloads - a must-have for vacation photos!

You won't want to miss what the other designers have created!  Make sure and stop by the Stampin' Celebration blog!!  You have until the end of this month to play along with either of our challenges.  We hope you'll join us!

MDS Hop - Spring Break

Happy Spring!  The MDS Blog Hop is back and this month our challenge is Easter or Spring.  We had our Spring Break here last week and I have tons of photos to scrap from our family vacation.  We went on a cruise to the Western Caribbean.  It was so much fun!!  I was anxious to scrap these action shots from the Flow Rider.  It was a super cool surf simulator on the cruise ship.  They could ride the waves on boards and they had a great time with it!  My layout shows a few photos of my youngest son showing off his moves!

Downloads Used:

High Tide, Family Fun, Happy Things, Hello Perfection, Story of Us, Beautiful Today, Nobody's Business

I started my layout with the High Tide DSP - lots of fun papers that are perfect for our cruise photos - yay!!  I think I'll create a duplicate page to add photos of my other son!! Easy peasy!! :)

I'm excited to see what the other Design Team members have created!!  Next up on our Blog Hop is Beth Rush!  Click our (fancy new) blog hop button below to visit Beth's blog! :)

Thanks for following along with us!!  Happy creating!
