MDS Blog Hop

Happy Blog Hop day!  Today, all of us MDS-crazed designers are going to share with you what we've been doing in MDS lately.  With the recent print sale, I was able to get tons of scrapbook pages printed.  It is so rewarding to put them in our family albums!  I have an album for each calendar year and recently took some time to make a cover page for each album.  I used a lot of photobook templates so there wasn't a whole lot of work involved.  But, I do love how each one is different.  :)  Here's what I created:

Prayer Journal

Welcome to the MDS Blog Hop!  Today we wanted to showcase MDS Print Products.  I was excited to try the new spiral bound journals.  I recently did an online Bible Study and wanted a nice (and pretty) place to record my thoughts and prayers.  So, of course I used MDS to create the perfect prayer journal!  Here is a picture of the front cover:


I wanted to personalize it with my initial, use some of my favorite colors and add one of my favorite Bible verses. :)

I love the spiral binding and the lined pages!


I'm so happy with how this turned out!  Wouldn't these make sweet gifts?  It would be so easy to change the monogram for a personalized gift! :)

Too Grown Up!

Eeek - I'm so behind on everything and my life is crazy!  I did this layout awhile ago using the great sketch that my friend Anita made over at Stampin' Celebration.  I finally did the layout but then didn't get it posted in time.  :/  We sold our house, are in the middle of packing, and don't know where we're going yet!  Of course once our house sells, the inventory where we want to move is slim pickins…  Totally stressful to say the least!!  But… a little creative therapy soothes the soul so here's my layout:

I enjoyed scrapping this photo of my oldest son.  He is 14 and growing up way too quickly.  This photo made me stop and think - oh, he's not a little boy anymore.  And gave my a glimpse of what he'll look like as a young man.  Makes me sad and proud all at the same time.  sigh.

MDS Blog Hop - Travel Journal

Happy Thursday!!  It's time for our MDS Blog Hop!  This week we are focusing on a couple of downloads that are or will be in the Featured Deals!!  I chose to use the Travel Journal Digital Kit (which is a sneak peek of next week's deal - hint, hint).  This kit has some neutral, blue and orange colors but also some fun travel stamps!  Here is the {super quick} layout I created:

I love using the coordinating papers in a download to create a quick page!  I still have photos to scrapbook from our cruise and I was so happy to find that cruise ship stamp! I didn't even know it was there!  Yay!!  I used my trusty Downtown Grunge frames and threw in some gold sequins to complete my page!  I used the color match tool to get the stamps just right!
