This sketch was perfect because it gave me plenty of room for my journaling. The other part of the challenge over at MDS Monday was to use the brush tool somehow on your layout. I used the brush tool to "scribble" on the page and then add my journaling over it. It was a nice way to make the journaling stand out. :)
I used a hodgepodge of downloads on this layout. The (red) background is actually from the Back to School kit. I played with the opacity until it was similar to the red DSP from the Love Letter Kit. And the little Mickey head I just made from three circle punches filled with black. :)
And here's the sketch that this layout was based upon:

Great idea to use the scribble area for journaling - how fun! And you got pictures with the sorcerer's apprentice... my favorite! Love the traditional Mickey colors. Thanks for joining MDS Monday this week.
I love, love love how you scribbled on your page to write on it. What a great idea for your fabulous Mickey page! Thanks for joining us at MDS Monday.
Fabulous page! The brush tool behind the journaling is such a great idea. I love the sweet details in this - the stitching, the little mickey head, and those beyond adorable photos! Thanks for sharing with us at MDS Monday!.
Amazing Page! Love Disney.... your colors you chose are great with your photos. Love how you used the brush tool under the text....really works well with your page (I'll need to try that out someday!).
What a sweet page Cori! I like how you kind of made the sketch fit what you wanted to put on the page.
